We are excited to teach you how to create and produce fun, engaging short form travel video that will take you around the world! Our family spends at least half the year abroad, filming and creating in this new and exciting space. We'll walk you through our (absolutely necessary) gear for filming on the road, and how this gear differs from when we are filming at home. You'll learn hands-on the different types of travel content to create whether your goal is to gain a bigger audience, brand partners, or clients. Storytelling techniques and tips will also be discussed and practiced! This includes the anatomy of telling a travel story, how to get great audio without the fuss, strategies behind music, a bit of editing advice that we've learned the hard way, plus fun tools and techniques to make your travel content stand out! You being on camera is also a key piece to successful travel videos. We will share some of our most embarrassing stories of being on camera for Disney, abroad, and live talk shows with ALL the lessons we’ve learned, so you can be confident and engaging (especially when you’re tired from travel and overwhelmed because your bank account is dwindling way too fast). Be prepared to leave with all the pieces of footage for your own travel video! And be prepared to practice being on camera! (Some of you might be thinking "YIKES!" But be brave and dive in with us!) This session is about having fun while you learn, as well as feeling safe to get out of your comfort zone and try new things!
Please bring your camera and a small journal or notepad for taking notes.
