The beach is not the easiest location to choose for a family session. The sound of the waves makes it hard to hear, the wind makes getting the perfect smile-at-the-camera picture nearly impossible, and the sand and water are not only hard on your camera but make it hard to keep children's attention! But the beach can be your client's happy place and favorite session location – you just have to remember that a successful beach shoot starts with you! You must be able to show clients how to relax and let their story unfold.

Join me in a hands-on shooting demonstration with a family, where I will walk you through tips on how to capture genuine family connections while in a location as distracting as the beach. I will show you my own useful techniques to guide clients through a series of games and prompts that allow you to capture the perfectly imperfect moments that happen in between, as well as discuss how to protect your gear while shooting on the beach. While interactive attendee shooting at the end of the evening will be possible, the main goal of this shooting demonstration program is to provide an opportunity to show you exactly how my family beach sessions flow.

This outdoor boutique program will take place on the beach/boardwalk.
