Learn to document life at home in a fun, purposeful way. Capture the crazy and the beautiful with a focus on using light, energy, and composition. You will see a live shooting demonstration with a young family where they will play and interact with each other in a way that is authentic, fun, and tells a story that is unique to this time in their lives. Details on preparing for sessions, how to use light in client's homes, and communicating with clients for a successful session will also be covered. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and shoot along side me, making this a hands-on learning experience. While this program would be great for photographers photographing clients, those documenting their own children would also benefit. Photographers should be comfortable shooting in manual mode and have a basic understanding of light.

Location:
This indoor boutique program will take place in a home-like hotel suite for a lifestyle shooting experience.

Learning Objectives:
1. Work with clients to discover what's most important to them, and documenting that.
2. Document a family in an authentic way, showcasing what life is truly like at this phase in their lives.
3. Use available light, and get creative with angles and compositions to create interesting portraits in ordinary homes.
4. Create slideshows and albums as a way for clients to display their images in a way that showcases the full story.
5. Direct clients into natural poses, and encourage authentic engagement.
